KLIMAready is a joint project in Hamburg that supports organisations in actively addressing the challenges and opportunities of climate change. The focus is on energy transformation, the targeted reduction of emissions and the development of long-term climate resilience – i.e. the ability not only to react to change, but to act proactively.
Among other things, the project aims to promote synergies and cross-sector solutions, establish learning networks between business, science, politics and society, provide information on legal frameworks and funding, and strengthen skills through agile methods and targeted training.
KLIMAready is a cross-cluster project involving seven Hamburg industry clusters: Logistik-Initiative Hamburg (LIHH), Renewable Energies Hamburg (EEHH), Hamburg Aviation (HAv), Life Science Nord (LSN), Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN), foodactive / Hamburg Food Cluster (FoCH) and Finance City Hamburg (FinCH) are cooperating for the first time to jointly develop solutions to the challenges of climate change – for example through workshops, surveys, measure development and public relations work. The collaboration is intended not only to strengthen the resilience of the companies, but also to promote the innovative strength of the entire region.
Best practices on the project website
The new KLIMAready project website features a section showcasing best practices from Hamburg-based companies with the aim of sharing experiences. The goal is to highlight successes and motivate other organisations to implement their own projects.
Successful practical examples from the KLIMAready network are intended to serve as inspiration, facilitate the exchange of experiences and provide impetus for concrete measures across industries.
Our Dr. Weigert DNK report is listed on the KLIMAready website as a best practice example in the ‘Sustainability Reporting’ category:
