An important milestone for our sustainability strategy: Our Communication on Progress (CoP) report has now been officially published.
Through the CoP, we report annually on our progress within the framework of the UN Global Compact—the world’s largest initiative for sustainable and responsible corporate governance.
What does the CoP mean?
The Communication on Progress (CoP) is the central reporting tool of the UN Global Compact and is mandatory for participating companies. In addition to a statement from management regarding ongoing support for the UN Global Compact, it includes structured reporting on measures and progress in the area of sustainability and a description of the implementation of the 10 Principles covering the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment, and anti-corruption.
The goal is to create transparency and to document progress in a traceable manner.
With the publication of our first CoP, we are demonstrating how we embed sustainability in our company - from environmental and resource protection to social responsibility and responsible corporate governance. For us, this publication is not an end in itself, but rather a further step: We will report on our progress annually in the future, continue to develop our measures, and maintain our commitment within the framework of the UN Global Compact.
