For over ten years, Dr. Weigert has been actively involved in the Responsible Care program of the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI). This commitment also contributes to the Chemistry³ sustainability program, which describes the chemical industry's guidelines for responsible and sustainable business practices.
Responsible Care is a global initiative of the chemical industry with the aim of continuously improving environmental, health, and occupational safety – beyond the requirements of legislation.
Companies participating in Responsible Care commit themselves to continuous progress in key areas such as environmental protection, product safety, occupational safety, health protection, plant safety, and dialogue.
For Dr. Weigert, Responsible Care means living up to our responsibilities in a transparent manner and actively contributing to a sustainable, safe, and future-oriented chemical industry – for the protection of people, the environment, and society.
Every year, we report our safety, environmental, health, and management data, which show how we fulfill our responsibilities, for the Responsible Care report, with which the VCI fulfills its reporting obligations under German and international RC guidelines and requirements.
