Team Wave Coders:
We came together as a team to support the “Rowing Against Cancer” charity regatta organized by the Hansa Rowing Club. Our goal was not only to show our support for this worthy cause but also to gain some insight into the sport of rowing.
After a brief adjustment period, we quickly gelled during training and were able to learn the basics of rowing with the support of Martin Kern and the Hansa Rowing Club. From one training session to the next, we grew more confident and steadily improved as a team.
On the day of the regatta, we had at least two races ahead of us. In the first race, we managed to replicate the performance we’d shown in training and even took first place. In the second race, we faced strong competition and ultimately had to settle for fourth place.
Regardless of the results, participating was a complete success for us. Together, we were able to make an important statement against cancer, had a lot of fun as a team, and took away many positive experiences from this special event.
